Create synchronisation file

Previous Next

From "Database account", creates a flat file that contains USoft Definer declarations for "Module", ie., a USoft ".CON file". This file is named "module.con".

This action only executes if this filepath has previously been made known to Delivery Manager by running the "Extract module names" action for the top-level application. The result file is placed in the location retrieved when that action is run.

The purpose of the "Create synchronisation file" operation is that the file becomes available to the top-level application for synchronisation.

IMPORTANT: This action is available in Delivery Manager only for completeness. Synchronisation is normally a design-time, not a release-time activity. This activity is normally carried out manually after discussion. It is NOT usually good practice to execute this action as part of a release task.
