How to Align Fields into Two or More Columns

In a single-record window, the default orientation of (the fields within) a Column Box object is vertical. In this situation, each field has its own Column object.

To put these fields into two or more aligned columns:

1. Use the Windows Designer catalog to open the appropriate window/dialog.
2. Select the last Column object that fits in the window, and then open the Property Inspector.
3. Click the Layout tab page, and then set the Allow Neighbor property to No, or from the menu bar choose Format, Allow Neighbor, and click No.

NOTE:

Because of the (default) vertical orientation, the meaning of "Allow Neighbor" is "do not allow an object UNDER the current object".
