Context menus, sometimes known as popup menus, or right-mouse menus, are menus that you can access by clicking your right mouse button on an item. If your mouse is set up for left-handed use, the left mouse button would call up the context menu.

The options listed in the context menu depend upon the tab page in the catalog, and the item that has been clicked. The context menu options that you will see if you click on an item or class on the Info Boxes, Dialogs, Controls, or Menus tab are as follows:

Open

Opens the class. Same as double-clicking.

New

Creates a new subclass of the selected node.

Delete

Deletes the current selected node (when possible). Same as the DEL key.

Rename

Renames the current selected node (when possible and inline).

Report

Opens a dialog to create an XML report of the class.

Export

Creates an XML export file of the class.

Properties

Opens a modal property dialog .

Search

Opens the search dialog. Same as Ctrl-F.

 

The options listed in the context menu for items on the Window Sets tab depend upon the item that the menu was called from. The following tables list the available options.

A context menu on the white area and not on an item lists the following options:

Creates a new root window set.

Opens the search dialog. Same as Ctrl-F.

 

A context menu called from a root window set lists the following options:

Edit

Opens a window to edit the window set.

New Window Set

Creates a new root window set.

New Window Set within this Window Set

Creates a new window set asa subset of the current window set.

Delete...

Deletes the current window set and its contents

Search...

Opens the search dialog. Same as Ctrl-F.

 

A context menu called from an embedded window set lists the following options:

Opens a window to edit the window set.

New Window Set

Creates a new root window set.

New Window Set within this Window Set

Creates a new window set as a subset of the current window set.

Remove from this Window Set

Removes the current subset and converts it to a root window set.

Delete...

Deletes the current window set and its contents.

Search...

Opens the search dialog. Same as Ctrl-F.

 

A context menu called from a window class lists the following options:

Open in Design Mode

Opens the class. Same as double-clicking.

Remove from this Window Set

Removes the class from the window set.

Search...

Opens the search dialog. Same as Ctrl-F.

 

NOTE:

Selecting a window set and then clicking again on the selected set allows you to rename the set.
