Setting Up Development Environment Authorization |
When working with USoft Developer, all specifications for the system are stored in a database, called the repository. This means that engineers, analysts, and users that are entitled to work on the system need authorization to access this repository at database level. You could give all of these users the same user name and password, but it is better to assign individual user names and passwords. Amongst other (security) advantages, this makes change logging easier to track. You can also restrict access to specific subprojects to certain user groups. To set up authorization for your USoft development environment, you can assign the various users to developer user groups. This can be done using the Load Definer User Groups feature of USoft Authorizer. You can also refer to your Authorizer guide or Authorizer help for details. |
