Check the Trace checkbox if you want all ODBC
messages to be sent to a file, rather than displayed on screen. If
you check this box, the location and name of the default log file
is displayed in the Log File Name field. You can change the
location and name by editing this field; however, we recommend that
you use the default values.
Note that if the Trace
checkbox is not checked (i.e. messages are not to be sent to file)
then the Log File Name field is grayed.
