Checking out Authorization

Previous Next

To ensure that the button will show up on the toolbar of your application, you have to make sure that you have the appropriate authorization.

Assume, for example, that you want to take over the complete Definer menu in your application, including the newly defined button.

NOTE: Remember that, by default, the application you are developing has the same name as the user name with which you logged in.

1.Start the Authorizer.
2.From the menu bar, choose Define, User Groups. The User Group window appears.

Define and execute a query that retrieves all information on an application that has the same name as the user name with which you logged in.

If necessary, move the cursor to the User Group field, and type the name of the user group to which you belong.

In the First Page field, type US_MAIN, or click the First Page lookup button to select that item from the list that appears.

3.Save your changes in the database.
