In a single-record window, the default orientation of (the fields within) a Column Box object is vertical. In this situation, each field has its own Column object.
To put these fields into two or more aligned columns:
1. | Use the Windows Designer catalog to open the appropriate window/dialog. |
2. | Select the last Column object that fits in the window, and then open the Property Inspector. |
3. | Click the Layout tab page, and then set the Allow Neighbor property to No, or from the menu bar choose Format, Allow Neighbor, and click No. |
NOTE: Because of the (default) vertical orientation, the meaning of "Allow Neighbor" is "do not allow an object UNDER the current object".
