How to Define Implementations

Previous Next

Implementations state how a business rule or object is actually built. This may refer to constraints, batch jobs, decisions or menu pages, but also to very specific ways of solving problems with the repository, or within the organization.

To define implementations:

From the menu bar, choose TeamWork, Definition, Implementations.

The Implementations window appears.

Use the lookup buttons to choose items to be inserted in the fields for this window.

In the description field, provide a description of the implementation.

Specify the name of the window or dialog in which the business object or business rule is implemented.

If a batch job is used to implement the business object or business rule, provide the name of the job.

If an external element is used to implement the business object or rule, provide a description of the external element.

Save your changes.

NOTE: It is often easier to open the Business Rules and Processes window instead, retrieve the rule you want to define implementations for, and then enter the implementation on the Implementations tab page.
