How to Select Container Objects with the Selection Filter

Choosing View, Selection Filter will ensure that entire container objects are selected when you click anywhere within their boundaries.

If you wish to select smaller objects within the container object, you can switch the Selection Filter off. Do this by using the View, Selection Filter menu option, or the Selection Filter icon on the toolbar. Alternatively, you can reach smaller objects by navigating to them in the Object tree.
