Use TLS

Previous Next

If the Remote Rules Service defined by the fields Hostname or IP and Port is intended to be used in a secure connection, check the Use TLS check box. Otherwise, leave it unchecked. TLS stands for Transport Layer Security, and it makes use of the Secure Sockets Layer.

Note: If this checkbox is checked, the corresponding "Use TLS" setting must also be set for the Rules Service in the USoft Binder Rules Service property sheet. See your USoft Binder help for more details. You must also install an appropriate digital certificate before you can use TLS/SSL. See your USoft Authorizer help for more details.
