Introducing USoft Authorizer

Previous Next

USoft Authorizer is an application that lets you define access rights to data in a USoft application: authorization rules.

Authorization rules exist as a separate layer. They are a default USoft mechanism: a Rules Engine only ever accesses data if this is permitted by the authorization rules in scope:

Authorization rules as a standard layer

USoft development tools such as USoft Definer and USoft Web Designer are USoft applications in their own right. Access to them is controlled by the same kind of authorization rules that also play a role in the applications you build yourself. For this reason, when you start out with a USoft project, you need to complete two tasks in USoft Authorizer:

Set up authorization for developers.

Set up authorization for runtime users of your application.
