How to Define Business Areas

A business area (or subsystem) is a logical part of the application, and supports a business process. A business area can be described in text.

To define business areas:

•From the menu bar, choose TeamWork, Preparation or Definition, Business Areas or double-click Business Areas in the catalog.

The Business Areas window appears.

•Provide a unique name and abbreviation to identify the business area.

•In the description field, type a description of the business area that describes what is being done in this part of the business.
