Microsoft SQL Server requirements

There are a number of system requirements which must be satisfied if you intend to use USoft Series products with Microsoft SQL Server. You must check that your system complies with these requirements before you proceed with the installation of USoft Series products.

Supported versions of MS SQL Server

Versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and beyond are supported by USoft 9.

MS SQL Server client utilities

Before you can run USoft Developer, at least one of the utilities from the Microsoft SQL Server Client Utilities set must be installed. This is to ensure that DLLs required by USoft Developer are present.

MS SQL Server installation notes

When you are installing the database server, make sure that you set the sort order of the database server to "Dictionary order, case-sensitive". This must be done to ensure the proper operation of USoft tools.

Repository Owner in MS SQL Server

A database owner (DBO) in Microsoft SQL Server, can also be a repository owner. Repository tables are identified by user name.
