Force the use of a search condition for a specific data column.
Background
You can force the use of query conditions on one or more specific data columns by setting the Query Mandatory property of those columns to Yes (default No).
When to use
Force the use of a search condition for those columns for which a query condition has to be entered.
To force the use of a search condition for a specific data column:
| 1. | Use the Class Catalog to select and open the appropriate window. |
| 2. | Navigate to the appropriate column object. |
| 3. | Open the Property Inspector, and click the Behavior tab page. |
| 4. | Change the Query Mandatory property to Yes. |
Limitations
If you limit query activity using this setting, it will still be possible for the user to use the %-wildcard.
