Why Load Data, and Why Load it by Means of a Batch Job?

To be able to generate some sample HTML report files, the application tables have to be populated with application data. The predefined batch job contains the definition of a data import task based on the business objects and rules that you imported in Step 1.

USoft offers three facilities for data import and export: Teamwork (which allows you to import and export the Data Model and business rules), the USoft Benchmark data management facility, and USoft Batch. USoft Batch is chosen for application data import here because it will also be used to export the same data into HTML format later in this test drive.
