Conceptual files (.CON), system messages files (.SMG) and application string files (.UMG) may be generated using the Create Flat Files tool.
To create flat files:
| 1. | From the menu bar, choose Tools, Create Flat Files. |
| The Create Flat Files dialog appears. |
| 2. | Specify a name for file for the conceptual schema (CON file)
Note that only 'correct' and 'active' objects will be written to the CON file. If there are objects which are active but incorrect you will receive a warning and you will be given the opportunity to check the objects before creating the .CON file. |
| 3. | If you wish to create language files, that is: system messages files (.SMG) and application string files (.UMG), check the Create language files checkbox and specify names for the files to be created. |
