Definer User Groups

You can quickly set up authorization in the USoft development environment by using typical developer user groups called Definer User Groups.

By running the special Load Definer User Groups dialog, you can have USoft create Definer User Groups and assign default access rights to them. You can then customize the default development environment authorization as appropriate.

The following letters are used to define access rights:

· C = Create (insert)

· R = Read

· U = Update (change)

· D = Delete

Examples of TeamWork items include: Business Areas, Business Objects, Business Rules and Notes. Examples of Technical items in the Definer include: Domains, Tables, Relationships and Constraints.

CRUD on Technical items means that the user group has:

· All rights on Definer tables such as Tables, Relationships and Constraints

· All rights required for full use of the Windows Designer, i.e. R foreground rights and CUD background rights for all ESI tables.
