How to Change the Orientation of an Object

Container objects determine the orientation of their component parts in default single-record info boxes. By default, for example, columns have a horizontal orientation and the column boxes that surround them have a vertical orientation.

There are three orientations: Horizontal, Vertical, and XY. In the horizontal orientation, component parts are ordered in horizontal rows. In the vertical orientation, component parts are ordered in vertical columns. The XY orientation enables you to position component parts manually.

To change the orientation of an object:

1. Select the appropriate container object.
2. Click the Horizontal, Vertical, or XY button on the toolbar.

You can also choose Horizontal, Vertical, or XY from the Format menu.

3. If you chose XY, drag the child object to the desired location.
