USoft Authorizer allows you to grant access rights to users of USoft Developer Series products or a USoft application. By assigning users to a user group, and by specifying the collective rights of these groups, you can specify who is entitled to do what in the production and development environments.
For more information on USoft Authorizer, and for details of how to use it once it is installed on your system, refer to the USoft Authorizer Guide or the USoft Authorizer help.
Typically, each USoft Binder file has exactly 1 Authorizer item at all times.
You can create USoft Authorizer tables from an Authorizer item in USoft Binder by right-clicking on the item and choosing Create Tables from the context menu. The Create Tables dialog will appear.
An Authorizer item in USoft Binder has the following properties:
This is the name of the Authorizer item as it will be displayed in the main window of the USoft Binder file. You can use binder variables in this namer.
Run USoft BenchMark
Check this box if you want to start the item with the USoft BenchMark toolbox enabled.
Authorize for Repository
Check this box if you want to start the Authorizer for the development repository, not the application tables.
The Authorize for Repository box is only relevant if you use separate database properties for repository and application. For more information on this option, choose File, Project Properties, click the Database tab page, and then click Help.
Check this box if you wish to have the USoft (or your own) logo displayed when the item is started.
This is where you can list any additional startup options you wish to be associated with the USoft Developer (USD.EXE) executable for this item.
