USoft Repository Manager provides several facilities and techniques to let you export and compare your repositories and releases. These typical, often performed tasks can be automated using task sets.

A task set is a series of subsequent tasks on USoft repositories or applications that is written to a MS-DOS batch file, with extension .bat. This batch file can then be used to perform these tasks outside USoft Repository Manager, on an ad-hoc or scheduled (daily) basis using external scheduler software.

TIP:

Although this batch file can be changed and edited outside USoft Repository Manager, you are advised to maintain the (conceptual) contents of this batch file within Repository Manager.

In the Repository Manager catalog, task sets with their tasks are displayed on the Configure tab page:
