Setting up a production environment

Previous Next

Setting up a production environment for USoft applications (i.e. the environment in which end-users will work with the deployed applications), requires largely the same procedures to be followed as setting up your development environment.

One notable difference is that Production users will not usually run from a USoft repository in the RDBMS, but from distributed flat files.

Because data volumes are typically very different in a Production environment, Production machines will have different optimisation settings, for example, a different organisation of database tablespace.
