To define a single- or multi-record constraint:

1. From the menu bar, choose Define, Constraints, Table.

The Constraints window appears.

2. Enter the requested information. (See the What's This? help for more details.)
3. Click the Check button to have your constraint checked, or choose Special, Check Constraint from the menu bar.

If the constraint is correct, the Correct field is checked.

4. Save your changes.

NOTE:

You can also define a new restrictive constraint by right-clicking on Constraints in the Project Catalog, and choose New Restrictive Constraint. Then enter the requested information in each of the wizard's dialogs.

USoft Developer lets you document your constraints by giving them comments or descriptions. For more information, see "How to Comment on a Constraint".

IMPORTANT:

You must not use the ROWID pseudo column in constraints.

NOTE:

To view Log Information changes, with the Constraints window open click the Log Info tab. You can use the What's This? help in the Log Info tab page for more information on each field.
