Prototyping

Previous Next

In the USoft Approach, prototype deliverables may be presented at a number of occasions. Prototyping typically occurs in the Define phase, but it can also be part of a Plan phase because prototypes make it much easier for the business to express what they need exactly. Prototyping, then, is primarily a means of communication. It is a way for developers to show their interpretation of the wishes of business commissioners and the needs of prospective end users.

Prototypes also allow prospective end users to state more clearly what they need. Prospective end users are involved in the prototyping process and share responsibilities for deliverables with the system development team.
