You
can specify how the Rules Engine should behave in the run-time
environment within a particular application. You can use the
Deployment Configurations window in the Authorizer to set values
for various additional parameters. You can access the Deployment
Configurations info window either from the main catalog, or from
the Define menu of the Authorizer. Two deployment configurations
are pre-configured: the WAN and LAN configurations. These have
recommended settings for a LAN and a WAN respectively.
Deployment Configurations can
be defined independently, and then associated with user groups of
applications. Each user group would then have its own deployment
configuration. This means that you can have different users log
into the application with different parameter settings, for
instance, with settings optimized for LAN or for WAN access.
Define the optimization
settings in the Deployment Configurations window. Associate the
configurations with user groups in the Applications or User Groups
windows.
